Parents are welcome to bring a chair to stay or drop off is okay. All activities are non contact.

Adult BJJ, Boxing and CKB classes including our Friday In-Person Boxing class at 5pm will be held in the parking lot outside of the dojo. We are CANCELLING our In-Person Boxing class on Tuesdays at 5pm for now.

Unfortunately, we are CANCELLING Saturday 8am Strength and Conditioning class as well.

The Saturday 9am Muay Thai/Kickboxing classes will be held at Cunha field.

Also, as of now, we are only at about 20% of our original enrollment. We need you to hang on with us if there will be any chance of returning to the dojo. We really appreciate any support you can give.

We want to give a HUGE shout out to our Instructors

We are so grateful and humbled by your flexibility, dedication, support and generosity.

Announcement as of July 5, 2020

Hello Everyone,

It's been over a week since we reopened, and what a week it's been! Although it's been a slow start, it's been AMAZING to see those of you who have been able to return. We are so proud of all the students who have continued their martial arts training on Zoom as well; your dedication and commitment is inspiring. And, we are so grateful for those of you who have not been able to participate in Zoom but have continued to support us anyways. Collectively, all of you are keeping RCMA alive and hopeful.

We are modifying the weekly schedule again in order to maintain the quality of instruction and keep up with our protocols. (Please see previous email announcement for our protocols for returning to in-person training)

Please see Attached Schedule that starts tomorrow, Monday July 6.

We are offering Private Lessons or Small Group Classes (6 students or less) or Social Bubble Playtime for $160/hour. Please email us for availability.

Summer Camp next week is CANCELLED. We will consider other dates for the future.

*Please email us first before coming to IN-PERSON classes.

*All classes will practice social distancing training- no sparring or partner work.

*Class Age and Rank have some cross over. The following are the suggested ages for BJJ classes:

-Little Samurai: ages 3-6yrs

-Level 2 BJJ: ages 5-8yrs

-Level 3 BJJ: ages 7-12

-Level 4 BJJ: ages 10-14

*Karate students under 6 years old should join the Little Samurai class instead of the Karate All class.

*Because our Zoom classes are now only 30 minutes, please participate in as many classes per week in all disciplines as possible.

*Please let us know if you have any questions on which class your child should join.

If you are feeling uncertain or uncomfortable returning at this time, know that we love and support you, and it's better to wait until you are ready. Please let us know if we can answer any of questions and concerns.

Dear RCMA Students and Parents,

You've probably heard the news that San Mateo County businesses like ours are being allowed to reopen..that includes RCMA.

We couldn't be more thrilled to finally get to see you again; however, the process of reopening and supporting local businesses is very confusing for everyone. We are trying to navigate all the regulations and develop guidelines in order to reopen and still be able to teach our students effectively.

We understand that many of you may not be ready to return to the dojo yet. Please know that we honor where ever you are on this and that everyone has varying opinions and comfort levels. If you decide to return to the dojo at this time, please be patient with us as we will be doing our best to be in compliance and keep the integrity of our mission. The decision to reopen RCMA will come with some new guidelines and regulations to keep everyone safe. It has always been a priority for us to provide a safe, clean and positive learning environment for our students and now so more than ever.

Listed below are the guidelines and regulations we will be implementing (these guidelines may be temporary and can change at any time):

  • Please do not enter the dojo if you are or have been sick-you must wait 14 days before returning

  • Practice social distancing upon entering/exiting, checking in and observing

  • After checking in, parents of age appropriate children are encouraged to wait outside and return when class is over (we will have a small waiting area)

  • Hands and Feet must be sanitized before entering training areas or wear clean grip socks or clean wrestling or karate shoes only for the mats (Hand washing station or bathroom for hands; bring own wipes for your feet) *see below

  • Temperature checks by staff members before entering the facility

  • Come dressed and prepared for class in clean uniform or training apparel

  • Optional designated training partners

  • Bring water in a reusable bottle (we encourage you to not bring single use bottles, please)

  • No personal items or gear to be stored at the dojo

  • Restrooms will be limited to one person at a time

  • No hanging out after training sessions

  • Children 12 years and under are never required to wear a mask- see Who Is Exempt? at

  • Masks are not required while training but may be worn or carried when not training

  • Do not share equipment

  • The ‘Little Room’ is no longer available at this time for kids to hang out

  • Our roll up doors will be open during classes to allow maximum fresh air circulation (weather permitting)

*We will have a hand washing station outside our entrance in addition to the bathroom and hall sink and touch less hand sanitizer available. In addition, we ask that everyone bring their Own Sanitizing Kit including hand sanitizer and wipes... for feet and personal equipment). We will be wiping down surfaces in between classes.

We will continue to do some ZOOM classes; however, the time and days will be changing as we will be doing them simultaneously with the modified class schedule-see schedule below. This schedule will be temporary as we assess flow, attendances, teacher availability and time to clean and check in students in between classes.

Kid's classes will be held in 2 groups of 12 students. PLEASE EMAIL US your requested day/time. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. Please note: Little Samurai classes are 30 minutes, all other kid's classes are 45 minutes and adult classes are 1 hour, for now.

All schedules, guidelines and protocols are subject to change at anytime. We will attempt to accommodate everyones needs including our own as we attempt to adjust to all the unknowns we haven't accounted for that may come up.

CAMP:  First Summer Camp Week we are doing will be July 6-10 from 8:30am-12:30pm for ages 6-12 years old. There are 12 spots available. Email us to sign up. Cost: $395/week. Bring reusable water bottle and snack. No drop ins. Must sign up for entire week. More camp dates to be announced soon.

ATTACHED is a Corona Virus Liability Waiver that everyone must complete before returning. Please bring in a hard copy in on your first day back or email us it back (we need one for each student).

We thank you for your continued support, patience and flexibility.
