Judo is the traditional Japanese art of throwing. Similar to the concepts of Jiu-Jitsu, Judo uses angles, leverage and the manipulation of momentum to take an opponent off their feet and onto the floor. Judo is practiced in a Gi and includes a wide variety of beginner, intermediate, and advanced throws that are proven to work for people all shapes and sizes against people of all shapes and sizes. Similarly to Jiu-Jitsu, Judo is sightly more advantageous to the smaller opponent, making it another great tool for self-defense. Judo is practiced as part of the Jiu-Jitsu program. We are honored to have 4th Degree Judo Master Don Wright former United States Olympic Judo Silver Medalist occasionally co-teach with Professor Raul during regular BJJ classes.
