Elijah Helfman

 

eli.Elijah is an assistant instructor for the BJJ kids program. He currently assists Wednesdays and Thursdays and is accepting private BJJ students. He is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Youth Exercise Specialist, and current student at the C.H.E.K. Institute where he is pursuing an Exercise Coach Certification.

His long term goal is to create youth enhancement training programs designed to maximize a student’s physical and mental potential while creating good sportsmanship, a strong sense of self and determination, and an ability to cope with the common stresses of life and academics.

With prodigious academic honors, Elijah is uniquely qualified to excel in these endeavors. He graduated top of his class from San Francisco Waldorf High School, and he has done volunteer work in Costa Rica at an International Peace Camp for children from around the world where he designed social and athletic activities for individuals and groups. He is also an accomplished athlete, having ran 71 miles in a 24 hour ultramarathon, at the age of 14.

As a private BJJ client, you can expect excellent attention to detail, while being able to participate in a program specifically tailored to your body type, mental attitude, and individual goals. Elijah is able to provide this because he has trained in multiple countries and diligently attends seminars from world champions.  With access to a wide range of approaches and perspectives, he brings these to the mat for the benefit of all his clients.
